How it works
DocumentVault turns a document into a private web page, then shares it through a unique link—usually by email.
1. A business prepares your document
The company you're dealing with creates a page for your quote or document. That page is not listed publicly.
2. You receive a unique link
The link includes a long, random address. It is not a short code someone could try at random. Opening the link in your browser is how you view the page—no separate DocumentVault account is required.
3. Only people with the link can open it
There is no searchable catalogue of documents on DocumentVault. Access depends on having the link. If you forward it, the recipient can open the same page—so treat the email like a key.
4. What you see on the page
Typically you'll see the document itself (for example a quote PDF) alongside information the business chose to include—such as store contact details. Branding on that page belongs to the business that shared it; DocumentVault is the secure delivery layer underneath.
